What Issues Should Be Considered When Using a Splicing Machine? Youngpool Technology Professional Guide

Apr 30, 2025

In SMT production, the efficient operation of a splicing machine directly impacts production line efficiency. With 20 years of industry experience, Youngpool Technology has summarized the following key considerations to help you avoid common issues and maximize the value of your equipment!

I. Operational Guidelines for Splicing Machines

1. Mandatory Checks Before Startup

- Check battery level to ensure it is fully charged.

- Confirm stable air pressure for proper film suction.

- Press the **Reset** button to ensure all axes operate normally.

- Keep the rail area clean by promptly removing discarded adhesive films.

2. Daily Operation Prohibitions

❌ Never touch the cutting blade area with bare hands (even when powered off).

❌ Do not use non-genuine splicing tape (viscosity mismatch may cause splicing failure).

❌ Avoid mixing different-width tapes in the same guide slot.

II. Maintenance Guidelines for Splicing Machines

1. Power Supply: The machine uses a 24V DC lithium battery—do not modify the power supply or use a voltage exceeding 24V.

2. Foreign Objects: Prevent metal objects or liquids** from entering the device to avoid fire, electric shock, or internal damage.

3. Electrical Safety: Do not plug/unplug the power cord with wet hands to prevent electric shock.

4. Storage Conditions: Avoid placing the machine in hot or humid environments.

5. Cleaning Method: Use a damp cloth (wrung dry)—never flammable organic solvents.

6. Foreign Material Entry: If foreign objects enter the machine, stop operation immediately to prevent damage.

7. Unauthorized Modifications: Do not disassemble or modify the machine without factory authorization to avoid malfunctions.

8. Safety During Maintenance:Exercise caution when opening the cover or removing protective panels to prevent injuries.

9. Blade Replacement: Handle carefully to avoid cuts.

10. Emergency Stop: Press the emergency stop button if limbs or objects get stuck.

11. Touchscreen Care: Avoid forceful tapping on the touchscreen.

12. High-Temperature Warning: The heating head reaches 100°C—do not touch.

III. Environmental & Safety Considerations

1. Installation Environment Requirements

- Temperature: 10–30°C (low temperatures reduce film adhesion).

- Vibration: Ensure **<0.1mm vibration amplitude** within 1 meter of the machine.

- Level Surface: Place the machine on a flat, stable surface.

2. Safety Precautions

✔ Never enter the machine for adjustments during operation.

✔ Exercise extreme caution around the cutting blade (sharp hazard).
